Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of thefirmbox.com and any demonstration environment we provide.

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH]

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH], operating as TheFirmBox ("TheFirmBox", "we", "us"). By accessing thefirmbox.com, submitting a Book a Call request, or using any demonstration environment we provide, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

These Terms apply to the website only. Any engagement for services is governed by a separate written services agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

2. Description of the service

TheFirmBox provides website, technology, and marketing infrastructure to law firms. This includes website design and hosting, an operations dashboard, analytics and reporting, search and directory work, advertising management, content production, review acquisition workflows, and answering and intake support.

TheFirmBox is not a law firm and does not provide legal services, legal advice, or representation. Nothing on this site creates an attorney-client relationship between you and TheFirmBox. We do not review, approve, or supervise the legal work of any firm, and we do not advise firms on their professional or ethical obligations. Each firm is solely responsible for compliance with the rules of professional conduct, advertising rules, and bar regulations that apply to it.

3. Eligibility

The site and our services are intended for licensed attorneys, law firms, and their authorized personnel. By using the site you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that, if you are inquiring on behalf of a firm, you are authorized to do so. We may decline to provide services or access to anyone, for any lawful reason.

4. Accounts and demonstration access

Any account or demonstration environment is provisioned by us at our discretion. There is no public sign-up. Access credentials are personal to the recipient, may not be shared, resold, or transferred, and may be suspended, modified, or revoked by us at any time, with or without notice.

Demonstration environments exist only to illustrate how the system works. Any data shown in a demonstration is sample data and does not represent a real firm, real matters, real clients, or real performance. You must not upload confidential, privileged, or client-identifying information into a demonstration environment.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under them. Notify us promptly if you believe your credentials have been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site or any demonstration environment for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable rule of professional conduct.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, any account, or any underlying system, network, or data.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site, or circumvent any security or authentication measure.
  • Copy, scrape, crawl, mirror, frame, or systematically extract content, templates, or design elements except as permitted by these Terms.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source or structure of any part of the platform.
  • Introduce malware, or interfere with or place unreasonable load on the site or its infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent your identity, your firm, your bar admission, or your authority to act on a firm's behalf.
  • Use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages or to harvest contact information.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action we consider appropriate.

6. Intellectual property

The site and its contents — including text, layout, design, graphics, page structures, website templates, dashboard interfaces, workflows, documentation, and software — are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH] or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "TheFirmBox" and our logos are our marks and may not be used without prior written permission.

Subject to these Terms, you may view and print pages of the site for your own internal evaluation. No other license is granted, expressly or by implication.

Content supplied by a client firm — including firm name, marks, attorney biographies, photographs, case descriptions, testimonials, and any other material the firm provides — remains owned by that firm. By supplying such content, the firm grants us a non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, adapt for format, and publish it solely to deliver the services requested. Client firms are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary for the content they supply.

7. Book a Call submissions

Information you submit through a Book a Call form or any other inquiry form is provided for informational purposes so that we can respond to you. Submitting a form does not create a contract, an engagement, or any obligation on either party. We are not obligated to respond, to schedule a call, or to offer services, and you are not obligated to purchase anything. Do not submit confidential or privileged information through the site's forms.

8. Third-party services

Our platform interoperates with third-party services, including hosting, database, analytics, advertising, communications, scheduling, video, and review platforms. Those services are operated by their providers and are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We do not control them, are not responsible for their availability, changes, pricing, data handling, or performance, and links to third-party sites are not endorsements. Your use of a third-party service may require you to accept that provider's terms directly.

9. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee results. TheFirmBox makes no promise or guarantee of search rankings, traffic, calls, leads, signed cases, case value, revenue, profit, or any other outcome. Results vary by market, practice area, competition, budget, timing, firm capacity, intake discipline, and factors outside anyone's control. Nothing on this site should be read as a prediction or warranty of performance.

The site and any demonstration environment are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheFirmBox and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH], together with their officers, members, employees, contractors, and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost cases, lost goodwill, or loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the site or any demonstration environment, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), or, if you have a separate written services agreement with us, the liability cap stated in that agreement for claims arising under it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TheFirmBox, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH], and their officers, members, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, proceedings, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the site or a demonstration environment; your breach of these Terms; content you supply to us; your violation of any law or of any rule of professional conduct or attorney advertising rule; or your infringement of the rights of any third party.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING STATE — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH], without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and TheFirmBox agree that the state and federal courts located in [GOVERNING STATE — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH] have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Changes apply prospectively from the date they are posted. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with any separate written services agreement, are the entire agreement between the parties regarding the site.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be directed to [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH] at [CONTACT EMAIL — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH] or by mail at [MAILING ADDRESS — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH].
