Accessibility Statement
We want thefirmbox.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE — PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH]
1. Our commitment
TheFirmBox is committed to making thefirmbox.com accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard that defines how to make web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project. We review it as the site changes and when new pages or features are added.
2. Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order, so screen readers can navigate content predictably.
- Full keyboard operability: every interactive control — including navigation menus, forms, the cookie banner, and the cookie preferences dialog — can be reached and operated without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA minimums for body text, headings, and interactive controls across both the dark and light sections of the site.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels, clear error messaging, and validation that does not rely on colour alone.
- Dialogs and banners implemented with appropriate roles and labels, focus moved into the dialog on open, focus kept inside while it is open, and dismissal with the Escape key.
- Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling and remain usable when text is enlarged.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences, and no content that flashes.
- Accessibility considered during design and review of new pages before they are published.
3. Conformance status
We consider thefirmbox.com to be substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Substantially conformant means the standard is met across the site, with the possibility that some content has not yet been fully assessed.
4. Known limitations
None currently identified.
If we become aware of a barrier, we will list it here along with the workaround available and our plan to resolve it.
5. Third-party content
Some functionality on this site may be provided by third parties, such as scheduling, analytics, or video embeds. We do not control the accessibility of third-party content, but we choose providers with accessibility in mind and will look for an alternative where a provider creates a barrier that we cannot work around.
6. Feedback and assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, or need information from this site in a different format, please tell us. Include the page address, a description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you were using, if you know it.
